Open access and licensing policy

The Primary Education Journal is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or their institution. All articles published in The Primary Education Journal distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY), which allows for immediate free access to the work and permits any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to the full texts of articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software or use them for any other lawful purpose even commercially, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author, provided the original work is properly cited. Under this licence author(s) retain copyright, and unrestricted reuse of the content is allowed as long as proper attribution is given to the original author of the manuscript.

Authors who publish in The Primary Education Journal agree to the following:

• Author(s) retain copyright and grant The Primary Education Journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY) that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in The Primary Education Journal.
• Author(s) are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the Accepted Manuscript (AM) or Version of Record (VOR) of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in The Primary Education Journal.
• Author(s) are permitted and encouraged to post their work online e.g. in institutional repositories or on their website, prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of the published work.
